Seasonal Produce for the Holidays

From Mountain View Organics farm in Grenada, CA, we have Butternut, Acorn, and Red Kuri squash. Mountain View Organics is a family-owned farm that has been operating for about 10 years. The owner Jeff, his wife and two sons do almost all of the farming. They grow summer and winter squash, melons, tomatoes, and cucumbers which they sell at Berryvale throughout the year and at the Mount Shasta farmer's market in the summers. 

From Hunter's Orchard farm in Grenada, CA, we have Sugar Pie Pumpkins, Heirloom Apples, as well as Kabocha, Carnival, and Buttercup squash. Hunter's Orchard is under new ownership, and this has been their second season. The land at Hunter's Orchard has been Certified Organic for 20 years and the farm is now owned by a couple who purchased the farm in January, 2015. Berryvale carried many of their items this year and will continue to support them and carry their produce next year.

Some of the produce items we are carrying from the Rogue Valley, OR, area include Delicata squash, Garlic, Red Kale, Turnips, Celery Root, and Bosc Pears.

We are also carrying Fuyu Persimmons from Chico, CA and local Chestnuts grown here in Mount Shasta.

On top of all of the beautifully colored, locally grown Fall produce, we have an assortment of root vegetables, greens, lettuces, apples and fruits, mushrooms, grapes, cherries, and more! Seasonal, fresh holiday are herbs are in as well and are perfect flavorful complements to any holiday dish; we have sage, rosemary, thyme, tarragon, majoram, chives, and a holiday mix.
