Hi everyone!
We are excited to start offering bulk Nativa Yerba Mate,
a wild-crafted premium mate available in two varieties which I will detail
below. The mate is sourced from San Mateus, in the state of Parana, Brazil.
There the mate is harvested from a sub-tropical rainforest locally owned by a
group of Brazilian-Ukrainian harvesters. They harvest directly from the wild
Yerba Mate rainforest they own and they are careful to use only the best,
sustainable harvesting techniques. The trees they harvest from are first allowed
to grow to full maturity naturally before harvesting, and then each tree is
only harvested once every four years to promote a healthy rainforest. By
ensuring a healthy rainforest through sustainable harvesting practices, the
harvesters are also ensuring high quality, nutrient and antioxidant packed,
Yerba Mate.
You’ll notice Nativa is not certified organic. Please,
don’t let this sway you away from this product. This Mate comes from a wild
rainforest, where no pesticides or herbicides are used. For pest management,
the harvesters introduce predatory insects to manage infestations. They also
frequently allow their neighbors goats to manage unwanted plant growth.
Nativa Yerba Mate is offered in two varieties: Suave and
Traditional.
The Suave blend contains a blend of male and female
leaves. Female Yerba Mate trees are typically lower in caffeine and have a
milder flavor.
The Traditional blend has a higher ratio of male leaves
than female leaves. This gives it higher caffeine content and a bold flavor.
